Utsavam – written and directed by debutant Arjun Sai who has great Knowledge about theatres.
The cinema depicts the lives and struggles of Surabhi Nataka Mandali (theatre artists). Arjun Sai has choosen Dilip Prakash, a newcomer to play the lead the film along with very talented Regina Cassandra.This movie is produced by Suresh Patil under Hornbill Pictures.
Utsavam has an ensemble cast which includes the great artists like Prakash Raj, Nassar, Rajendra Prasad, Prema, Brahmanandam, Ali, Raghu Babu, LB Sriram, Priyadarshi and the list goes on. The technical team is well experienced and contributed brilliantly in making Uthsavam. The beautiful camera work is done by Rasool Ellore, Anup Rubens lightens up the movie with his magical background score and songs and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao (of Bahulbali fame) handled the editing.
Utsavam was shot in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, West Bengal and Nepal. Keeping these in mind, one can expect a movie which is big in scale and unique in the months to come. The team has completed the post production work and are gearing up for a massive release. It will be a sumptuous feast for the Telugu audience.
