The Kashmir Files is directed by Vivek Agnihotri and will be released on Mar 11, 2022, in Hindi. In Delhi, ‘The Kashmiri Files’ was pre-released at an event on March 6. Lieutenant General KJS Dhillon (Retd.) attended the screening and has given a review on social media.
Taking to his Twitter account, The senior Army officer wrote, “Watched the movie at the Premiere screening today Absolutely gripping and well-made movie by Vivek Agnihotri.”

In a video shared by Vivek Agnihotri, the officer speaks about his experience during the 1990 exodus. He said, “I was a young Captain of Indian Army in North Kashmir during 1990 exodus of Kashmiri Pandits. Saved a few families. I was Corps Commander of Kashmir on 5th August 2019. We removed Article 370 from J&K.” Watch here:

‘The Kashmir Files’ is set in 1990 when the majority of Hindus were forced to flee the valley due to rising Islamic Jihad. It is based on video interviews with Kashmiri Pandit Genocide victims of the first generation. Featuring Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty in the lead roles, the film will hit theaters on March 11, 2022.
