Talking about him is a waste of time: Naga Chaitanya
Naga Chaitanya, Yuva Samrat, has never been one to shy away from speaking his mind. In a recent interview with GreatAndhra, the actor was direct in his criticism of director Parasuram. Naga Chaitanya had been duped by Parasuram two years ago when the director dropped him from a film and went on to direct Mahesh Babu’s ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ instead. Parasuram had convinced Naga Chaitanya to sign on for a film, even registering the name ‘Nageswara Rao’ for the project. However, just as the film was about to go into production, Parasuram left Naga Chaitanya in the lurch and took on Mahesh Babu’s project instead. This left Naga Chaitanya feeling deeply hurt and betrayed by the director.
After the failure of ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata,’ Parasuram attempted to resurrect a film with Naga Chaitanya. However, the actor was not willing to work with the director again, given the way he had been treated in the past.
In the interview, Naga Chaitanya made it clear that he did not want to waste any more time discussing Parasuram. “I don’t want to waste time talking about him. He squandered my time. I don’t want to waste time worrying about it,” he said.
It’s clear that the actor is still deeply hurt by what happened with Parasuram, and understandably so. It’s never easy to be let down by someone you trusted, particularly in an industry where relationships are so important.
Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming film Custody is to release on May 12th, 2023. The film is directed by Venkat Prabhu starring Krithi Shetty in the female lead.
