“Sarkaru Vaari Paata” SVP by Mahesh Babu is another Telugu blockbuster that has gotten a lot of attention since the pandemic. Parasuram, the director of “Geetha Govindam,” has successfully presented Mahesh Babu in a fresh avatar. It was clear from the trailer. The trailer was an enormous hit. Let’s see SVP Review, if the movie comes up to our expectations.
Table of Contents
Story:
Mahi (Mahesh Babu), a private money lender in the United States, offers Kalaavathi (Keerthy Suresh) $10,000 for her college costs, only to discover that she has misled him. He flies to India to reclaim the money from her father. Her father turns out to be Rajendra Nath (Samuthirakani), a businessman from Vizag, Mahi’s hometown. Rajendra Nath is also bankrupt with debts totaling Rs 10,000 crores. The rest of the film revolves around Mahi’s fight for a more significant societal cause?
Performances by Artists:
When the graph goes down, Mahesh Babu carries the movie on his shoulders and tries to lift it. Mahesh Babu has delivered the essential mojo with his drama and dialogues. He also appears to be fashionable. The film’s key strength is Mahesh Babu’s star power and comic timing.
In the first half, Keerthy Suresh gives it her all. In the beginning, the scenes between Mahesh Babu and actress Keerthy are amusing. But she doesn’t appear much in the second half, and when she does, it’s for a cringe sequence.
Vennela Kishore does a good job as Mahesh Babu’s pal. Subbaraju is given a predictable personality. Nadiya’s contribution is insignificant. Due to a weak character, Samuthirakani, who is stunned by his villainy performance in ‘Krack’ fails to make much of an effect.
Technical Prowess:
The technicians’ major pillars are Thaman and R Madhie. Thaman’s compositions “Kalavaathi” and “Penny” stand out. The camerawork of Madhie has created a dazzling texture.
Highlights:
Mahesh Babu acting
Comedy
Thaman’s compositions
Drawbacks:
Lack of a compelling story
Unconvincing treatment of a current subject
Analysis:
Mahesh Babu hasn’t had a role with a humorous element in a long time. Parasuram’s debut film with the Star, “Sarkaru Vaari Paata,” places him in this zone. He’s gone above and above with his comic timing and histrionics to keep the movie afloat.
The novel shifts to a joyful and enjoyable love track after beginning with the hero’s childhood incidents and outlining the cause for the hero becoming a money lender.
Sequences starring Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh, including the song “Kalavaathi,” run for about an hour. Remember that the first half of the drama has only two songs, and the rest of the drama is entirely dependent on Keerthy Suresh and Mahesh Babu’s love track.
Loan defaults and bank scams are a hot topic in “Sarkaru Vaari Paata (SVP).” If low and middle-class consumers fail to pay their EMIs, bank officials seize their possessions. They will not, however, touch the business people and wilful defaulters. The subject is timely. And Parasuram has attempted to commercialize the situation. The writer-director has gone with a tried-and-true commercial formula.
Parasuram’s mark is obvious in the first half, but he falls short in the second half.
The film’s beginning, intermission, and climax are all cleverly interwoven. However, he faltered in the key closing sequences. Even throughout the rather plodding second half, the director managed to keep the film mainly engaging.
SVP Review Final Verdict:
Overall, “Sarkaru Vaari Paata” (SVP) is a typical commercial film about a timely topic. The film is entirely dependent on Mahesh Babu’s star power, and the superstar does everything he can to keep the show on the road. It’s a standard mainstream entertainer with a bit of everything.
