Spy, Samajavaragamana first weekend collections reports are here!

This weekend, two movies were released, each with its own set of expectations and budget. On one hand, there was the small-budget film Samajavaragamana, and on the other hand, there was a big-budget Pan-Indian film called Spy. Surprisingly, it was Samajavaragamana that emerged as the winner, surpassing Spy in terms of audience response and box office performance. Before their release, all the buzz and anticipation were centered around Spy. With its big budget and high-profile cast, many predicted that it would be the film to watch out for. However, as the weekend progressed, it became clear that Spy failed to impress the audience and fell short of expectations.

On the other hand, Samajavaragamana started off slow at the box office. But as the weekend unfolded, it gained momentum and surpassed all expectations. It not only achieved breakeven but also managed to collect a decent share of around 5.2 Crores worldwide.

In contrast, Spy witnessed a significant drop in its collections after a good opening day. It managed to collect only around 8.5 Crores share worldwide, which is only 50% of its production budget. As a result, it is likely to end up as a loss venture for the filmmakers.

Looking ahead, trade circles are hopeful that Samajavaragamana will continue to perform well in the coming weeks. Its positive word of mouth and growing popularity are expected to contribute to its success at the box office. Meanwhile, the disappointment surrounding Spy serves as a reminder that a big budget and star-studded cast do not always guarantee success.
