Soorarai Pottru is being remade in Hindi with Akshay Kumar, and Radhika Madan. Tamil actor Suriya’s prestigious film ‘Soorarai Pottru’ (‘Aakasham Ne Haddu Ra‘ in Telugu)is now going to be remade with Star actor Akshay Kumar. The original film is on Amazon Prime Video, the film received praise from all the corners. It is also selected for Oscar Nominations.
GR Gopinath, the man who made air travel affordable for the common man, is loosely based on the life of Suriya in the Tamil film Soorarai Pottru, the film that stars Suriya in the lead role. According to reports, the film will be made in Bollywood with Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan as lead roles.
The remake of Soorarai Pottru will be directed by Sudha Kongara, who had directed the original. Apparently, Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan are now filming for the yet-untitled movie.

Akshay Kumar also shared a video of the muhurat shot of the film on his official Instagram handle. Radhika Madan and he are seen breaking a coconut in the video.
He captioned the video on Instagram, “With the auspicious coconut-breaking and a small prayer in our heart, we begin filming our yet-untitled film, which is about dreams and their power. If you have any suggestions for titles, do share and we wish you all the best.”
