Sonam Kapoor and husband Anand Ahuja’s New Delhi home was robbed
Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja’s New Delhi residence were robbed of ₹2.41 crore. A case under Indian Penal Code Section 381 (theft by a servant of property in possession of master) has been registered.
Police said Sonam Kapoor‘s in-laws have filed a complaint alleging theft of cash and jewelry worth *2.40 crore from Sonam and her husband Anand Ahuja’s New Delhi home. It has been registered a case under Indian Penal Code Section 381 (theft by a servant of master’s property)
In Lutyens’ Delhi, Anand Ahuja’s parents live on Amrita Shergill Marg with his mother Priya Ahuja, and grandmother Sarla Ahuja. The theft incident at Sonam’s in-laws’ house took place in February,” said Amrutha Guguloth, deputy commissioner of police, New Delhi. On February 23, 2022, Sonam’s Family lodged a complaint with the police.
“They complained about having some cash and jewelry worth *2.4 crores stolen. They noticed the theft on February 11, 2022, but the complaint was filed on February 23, 2022. An FIR was filed immediately under section 381 of the IPC and an investigation began. Teams have been formed and evidence is being examined,” the officer said.
According to the police, the case has been transferred to the New Delhi district special staff and they are investigating the matter. As of yet, no arrest has been made.
Sonam lives with Anand in London. Sonam announced her pregnancy on social media last month.
