Sameer Wankhede booked in corruption charges in Aryan Khan Drugs Case
Sameer Wankhede is a name that has been making headlines for a while now, and it’s not for good reasons. Wankhede, an Indian Revenue Service officer, was responsible for the arrest of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan from a Cordelia cruise citing possession and consumption of drugs. Aryan Khan spent almost a month facing charges before being granted bail. However, Wankhede’s investigation techniques and the evidence presented in the case have been called into question, with allegations of loose investigation and peddled facts in the case.
In the latest update, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against five people, including Sameer Wankhede, for corruption in the Aryan Khan drugs case. It has been reported that the officer sought a bribe of 25 crores in exchange for dropping the charges against Aryan Khan.
