Prithviraj: Akshay Kumar asks Govt to make it compulsory viewing for students.
Akshay Kumar is thrilled about his upcoming film, Prithviraj. The trailer should also be a sign that you should be too. The trailer for the film was released earlier today and has been the talk on social media. Akshay hopes this ‘educational movie’, which tells the story of the heroic king Prithviraj Chauhan, will educate every Indian child about the life and times of the great warrior.
The story revolves around The First Battle of Tarain in which Muhammad Ghori of the Ghurid Dynasty faced him.
The star of the film said during the trailer launch that she wanted every child in India and the world to see the film. It’s an educational film. It would be a great idea to tell your children the story of Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan. “I am extremely proud to have worked in the movie,” said the actor, who also lost his mother last year.
Akshay Kumar requested that the Government arrange for the screening of the film in schools to educate children from all corners of India. He claimed that the movie accurately portrays historical facts and that there has been a lot of research. Kumar, 54 years old, stated that children will benefit from this film’s educational content and be able to better understand the country’s history.
“I also requested the Government to make the film compulsory in schools, so that children learn about our history and what and how it happened. Everything in the film is true. It has actually happened. This is what I find amusing. This is 18 years of research by Dr. Saab! He revealed how much hard work he put into the film.
He shared with us that he was given a book titled ‘Prithviraj Raho’ by Dr. Chandraparaksh Dwivedi before filming started. After reading it, he realized how heroic Prithviraj Chauhan was. The actor was horrified that the story of the warrior king was reduced to a single paragraph in school textbooks.
Chandraparaksh Dwivedi is a noted writer-director who has previously directed ‘Chanakya’ (TV epic) and ‘Pinjar’ (2003 Partition film). The film stars Kumar as King Chauhan and Manushi Chillar plays Sanyogita. Yash Raj Films will produce ‘Prithviraj’. It will be available on June 3 on Big Screens.
