Popular Telugu lyricist Sirivennela Sitaramasastri is no more, he died battling lung cancer-related complications.
Sirivennela Sitaramasastri was admitted to KIMS hospital Secunderabad on 24th November with pneumonia. He was going under observation for the last few weeks. He took his last breath at 04:07 p.m. today November 30.
Chembolu Sitaramasastri aka Sirivennela Sitaramasastri penned lyrics over 3000 songs till 2020. He had also received Padma Shri for his contribution in the field of arts and aesthetics. He had garnered 11 state Nandi awards and Four Filmfare awards south for his lyrics.
He got fame with the Sirivennela movie directed by k Viswanath. With the success, the title of the film was added in front of his name. He wrote many lyrics for famous films such as Swayamkrushi, Swarna Kamalam, Samsaram OkaChadarangam, Sruthilayalu, and Pelli Chesi Choodu.
The Telugu film industry was shocked by the news of Sirivennela Sitaramasastri’s demise. Many film celebrities expressed their deepest condolences and strength to their family. May his soul rest in peace.
