Netflix to premiere Prabhas Adipurush!
Adipurush, the movie based on the epic Ramayana starring Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, and Kriti Sanon, has already generated huge hype in the film industry. The production of Om Raut’s magnum opus has been completed for quite some time, and post-production is currently underway.
The upcoming film is based on the Ramayana, with Prabhas portraying Raghava and Kriti Sanon playing Janaki. According to the most recent report, Adipurush’s digital rights have reached a new milestone. Popular OTT giant Netflix has paid a record Rs 250 Cr for the streaming rights to the mythological drama Adipurush. Apparently, they acquired the digital rights in all languages of Om Raut’s directorial effort.
Previously, the director of this highly anticipated drama, Om Raut of Tanhaji fame, discussed why Prabhas is the ideal option for this role. He had stated, “I have attempted to comprehend Prabhu Ram to the best of my ability, and I will continue to do so for the remainder of my life. According to my knowledge, the eyes are a reflection of the heart, and Prabhas’s heart is so pure that his eyes are tranquil. His eyes brought me closer to my conception of Lord Ram.”
Adipurush OTT deal:
The makers of the film have reportedly sold the digital rights to the multinational OTT Netflix for a staggering Rs 250 crores.
This was also disclosed by film critic Umair Sandhu, who stated that Netflix purchased the digital rights to Adipurush for a record ” 250 cr “!! All-Time Record in India! He tweeted #Prabhas Star Power on Tuesday.
Even though Radhe Shyam performed poorly at the box office, Prabhas’ “Star Power” has not weakened in any manner, and he continues to reign supreme.
A Hindu mythological film starring Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, and Sunny Singh, Adipurush is based on the Ramayana. In addition to being released in all South Indian languages including Hindi, the film will also be accessible in IMAX format.
Adipurush Budget and Release Date:
Adipurush is produced by T-Series Films and Retrophiles with a massive budget of 500 crore rupees. Adipurush is set for international release on January 12, 2023, before Pongal.
Prabhas will also appear in Nag Ashwin’s Project K, Prashanth Neel’s Salaar, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit, and Maruthi’s horror comedy.
