Narayan Das Narang, Producer, And Acting President Of TFCC Passes away

Narayan Das Narang (76) was an established film producer, financier, exhibitor, and distributor. He was hospitalized at Star Hospital in Hyderabad after being unwell for some time. Tuesday (April 19, 2022) at 9.04 am, the Thespian breathed his last. He was survived by two sons and a daughter. His sons Sunil Narang (owner of Asian Cinemas) and Bharath Narang are also film producers.

 

Narayana Das Narang was born on July 27, 1946. Narayan Das Narang has been in the film industry for 50 years and is one of its legends. He excelled in the fields of film production, financing, distribution, and exhibition. He had financed prominent films in the Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil languages.

Narayan Das Narang’s SVCC Production house is one of the most happening production houses in Telugu today. AMB Cinemas(with Mahesh Babu), AVD Cinemas(Vijay Devarakonda), and AAA Cinemas (with Allu Arjun) were popular multiplexes he set up in association with Telugu cinema’s leading stars. He was the producer of the films Love Story, and Lakshya. 

The Telugu Film Chamber Of Commerce Telangana’s Interim President is Narayan K Das Narang. Telugu films owe a lot to him; he is a visionary, a pioneer, and a stalwart of this era. In addition, he is a leader in media and real estate. The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce and the Telangana Chamber of Commerce have expressed their condolences on his death.

Tollywood actor Mahesh Babu took to Twitter and wrote, ” Shocked and saddened by the demise of #NarayanDasNarang garu. A prolific figure in our film industry.. his absence will be deeply felt. A privilege to have known and worked with him. His vision and passion for cinema is an inspiration for many of us. Strength and condolences to his family and loved ones.”

According to family members, he will be laid to rest tonight in Mahaprasthanam in Jubilee Hills at 4 PM.
