Oscars Issac’s latest series Moon Knight is started streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar. Fans are excited to watch another superhero series from the famous Marvel Studios. Before you start watching it on Disney+ Hotstar on March 30th, here’s all you need to know about the character.
Moon Knight, Marvel’s newest miniseries, will introduce multiple new characters and stories to the MCU, including a hero with a dissociative identity disorder. The plot follows Steven Grant (Oscar Isaac), whose routine existence is interrupted when he realizes that he shares a body with Marc Spector—a former mercenary and now the incarnation of the Egyptian God of moon and vengeance- Khonshu. Mohamed Diab is the director of the Moonknight series.

The series, which is steeped in Egyptian mythology and symbolism, introduces a new type of MCU hero: an angry and multifaceted figure. The series pushes the boundaries of the ever-evolving MCU storyline with its darker, adult themes.
Moon Knight, who is he?
Moon Knight is a vigilante who carries out his retribution on Earth, having been granted with Egyptian God Khonshu’s ceremonial armor, which has been bestowed to all of God’s soldiers throughout the millennia. Khonshu’s earthly avatar and his fist of wrath have been taken on by him.
Khonshu, the Egyptian God of the Moon and self-proclaimed God of Vengeance, bestowed extraordinary powers to Moon Knight. As he carries out Khonshu’s commands and exacts retribution on Earth, Moonight battles all perceived injustices.
Moon Knight’s debut in the Marvel Universe
Moon Knight made his initial appearance in Marvel Comics in Werewolf by Night #32, in August 1975. Dough Moench created the character, which was drawn by Don Perlin.
Moon Knight’s human identity is Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop clerk who suffers from blackouts and flashbacks of a previous existence. Following that, he is diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder and is forced to share a body with mercenary Marc Spector.
Marc Spector’s alter ego, Moon Knight, exists. As Steven/foes Marc close in on them, they must juggle their dual identities while immersed in a dangerous mystery among Egypt’s great gods.
Moon Knight, which also stars May Calamawy, Gaspard Ulliel, and F. Murray Abraham as Khonshu, will be available on Disney+ Hotstar starting March 30, 2022.
