The show is a fascinating blend of romantic tales with mostly happy endings. some of them are predictable, and others touching, but all of them succeed to a great degree. Nagesh Kukunoor’s adaptation of Modern Love is a heartfelt tribute to Hyderabad the city that is known for its rich history, Irani chai, Biriyani, Nawabi Hindi, and its love for cinema. Overall, it’s a production that showcases Hyderabad unlike anything else and the way it is presented is hilarious and tugs at our heartstrings.

Story:

Modern Love Hyderabad is a collection of anthologies that contains six distinct stories. Each story is about a particular type of relationship and a different aspect of love. The stories all explore one universal human emotion, love that is universal. It is explored through different kinds of age groups and various kinds of individuals.

The six stories focus on the relationship between a mother and daughter that was broken up, couples that struggle with understanding the relationship between the grandmother and her grandson as well as the relationship between a producer as well as a stand-up comedian, a relationship between the daughter and her father who is a bit concerned about her and an individual who is uncertain about who she wants to spend her time with. Each story has a distinct setting however, they all take place in a city that is bustling with activity in Hyderabad.

 


Positives:

Writing is without doubt the most valuable asset that production has. The original script was modified according to the preferences and sensibilities of the audience. It could be about the mom and her daughter that have to remain in the midst of the pandemic or the father who is overprotective and secretly watches his daughter’s well-being The writing team performed excellent work.

The stories are simple in their structure. They are told in a fun and lighthearted style with many heartwarming and overwhelming moments, and they delight us emotionally. What is the essence of this historic city that was perfectly incorporated into the tales?

The show focuses on the complexity that is involved in relationships in contemporary times, in a slick and easy way. The dialogues are well written and are well-written. They also have depth. The scenes are beautifully constructed and make the characters relatable.

When it comes to the performances, all of them did a fantastic job. Suhasini, Naresh, Nithya Menen along with Revathy are the standout performers. The tales that follow Revathy as well as Nithya Menen, as well as Naresh along with Ulka Gupta stand out and are still memorable.
