The director Ritesh Rana deserves appreciation for picking such a story for his debut and dealing with it like a pro. Mathu Vadalara is a film that will leave you satisfied, from the first shot, the film sticks to the story without illogical scenes.
Apart from an interesting plot, the hilarious gags in the film are spot-on. Yeshu is well written and Satya performed it with ease. He proved how hilarious he can be with this character in this film. The second-half of the film takes serious turns. The drug set-up looks realistic. The pre-climax looks slow, Bur Director makes it up with great climax. The humor employed in serious situations makes the thriller and comedy feel as delicious.
Sri Simha delivers a decent performance. He looks natural in his rugged look and nails scenes which require him to show emotions like fear or anger. He does have a long way to. Satya and Naresh are the assets of the film showcasing multiple shades. Kaala Bhairava’s BGM is appealing and cinematography is up to the standards.
Mathu Vadalara is definitely a worth watch, it won’t waste your time and energy. This film surely stands out as one of the gripping thrillers made this year.
