Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan earns Rs 150 crore worldwide!
On September 30, Mani Ratnam’s historical epic drama in Tamil, “Ponniyin Selvan,” was released in theatres. Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan played the key parts in the film adaptation of the book. Both moviegoers and critics have been giving the film high marks and favorable reviews. The film, which was made in India, was released internationally in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
The movie earned a total of Rs. 70 crores at the box office on the second day of release. On October 1, the movie’s creators officially announced that the opening weekend box office take was Rs 80. The movie reportedly earned Rs 150 crore worldwide in just two days. Since the audience response to the movie has been quite positive, it is anticipated that the movie will perform very well in theatres. Additionally playing significant roles in the film are Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Nasser, Prakash Raj, Rahman, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Jayaram, and Prabhu. AR Rahman is responsible for the film’s music composition. The film’s plot is on the Chola Dynasty and how King Arunmozhi Varman came to be known as Raja Raja Chozhan.
