 ‘Pokiri’ was the first movie that crossed Rs 40 crore share in Tollywood. It set trend in the genre of commercial masala entertainers. Mahesh Babu starred as an undercover police officer in the movie directed by dashing director Puri Jagannath. Ileana played the female lead. The movie had super punches and dialogues which created a new trend in TFI. Mahesh Babu and Puri Jagannath later teamed up for ‘Business Man’ which was a decent hit.
