Talking about personal background, he was born on June 21st, 1984 in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. The 36-year-old director is married to Monisha and the couple has one child.

He started his film career as an assistant scriptwriter in the Star Vijay channel. He actually started his debut movie Vettai Mannan in 2010, but the project was shelved for unknown reasons.
After his debut film Kolamavu Kokila, he made a film Doctor starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role opposite Priyanka Arul Mohan.
