It’s official, Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi to release on Diwali

According to the latest reports, the director Rohit Shetty confirms that Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi is to release on Diwali. After meeting with Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, Rohit Shetty took to his social media handles to share his exciting news of Sooryavanshi release date.

Akshay Kumar took to Twitter and wrote, “So many families would be thanking Sh Uddhav Thackeray today! Grateful for allowing the reopening of cinema halls in Maharashtra from Oct 22. Ab kisi ke roke na rukegi – AA RAHI HAI POLICE #Sooryavanshi #Diwali2021#RohitShetty@ajaydevgn@RanveerOfficial#KatrinaKaif.”

The much-anticipated cop drama Suryavanshi was initially scheduled to release on March 24th, 2020. Due to Pandemic, Makers had decided to release it for around March 2021, the film was once again rescheduled and now we can finally say that this film will release this Diwali.

On Saturday Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray announced that theatres in the state are going to reopen from October 22nd. It was in March 2020 where theatres were shut down due to pandemic.

Suryavanshi stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in lead roles with cameo appearances by Ajay Devgan and Ranveer Singh.
