Director Mani Ratnam in the hospital as he tested Positive Covid-19

Mani Ratnam, a gifted and innovative filmmaker, tested positive for Covid-19. The director has been taken into the Apollo hospital Chennai, a private facility, for medical attention. Soon, further information on his health status will become available.

Ponniyin Selvan, the director’s forthcoming, high-budget drama, is now under production. A court summons was recently issued against Mani Ratnam and Chiyaan Vikram for allegedly misrepresenting the Cholas in the film Ponniyin Selvan. The attorney wanted a special screening to check for any historical factual distortions in the movie. Ponniyin Selvan from Mani Ratnam’s movie was in new difficulty a few days after the teaser was released.

He emphasized in his plea that Chiyaan Vikram’s Aditya Karikalan doesn’t have a tilak on his forehead. However, the movie’s poster for Vikram had a tilak. Selvam believed that the Cholas might be inaccurately portrayed in the movie. So, prior to its publication, he requested a private screening of Ponniyin Selvan. However, as of right now, neither Mani Ratnam nor Vikram have reacted to the notice.
