Dil Bechara review: Sushant Singh Rajput’s last movie is touching, makes us fall in love with it

Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Dil Bechara movie streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar. The movie marks the Directorial debut of casting director Mukesh Chhabra. It is the remake of the Hollywood movie ‘The Fault in our stars’.
Story: Dil Bechara is the story of a young couple looking for the bright side of life. Kizie Basu (Sanjana Sanghi) is an introvert, suffers from thyroid cancer which needs oxygen support almost all time. She craves a normal life like any girl having a love life with boyfriend. Instead, she attends funerals of people she doesn’t know. As time passes she meets a Bubbly Jamshedpur boy Rajkumar Junior or Manny (Sushant Singh Rajput) in college At cancer support group event. Manny too survived cancer but it is currently in remission. They move close and run life together. When Manny decides to go and fulfill Basu’s wishes she realizes she has fallen for him. But there is a tragic twist ahead which turns their lives.
The movie is a short and sad story. The movie needed better writing. The dramatic scenes are perfectly timed. The fresh young Romance between Basu and Manny is shown well. Sushant Singh shines with a brilliant performance, so did Sanjana. They deliver a convincing performance. And the songs by Maestro AR Rahman are nice and visuals are fantastic and watch out his dance moves in a one-shot title track.
Sanjana Sanghi on her debut delivered a good performance, the supporting cast is decent and Saif Ali Khan’s cameo is noteworthy. Some scenes will definitely bring you to tears. It will leave you in emotions as the end credits roll.
the film manages to touch your hearts with its emotional scenes. It makes us connect SSR’s real tragedy that happened a month ago. Dil Bechara will always be remembered as Sushant Singh Rajput‘s last brilliant act.
