It is a non-holiday record, and this strong start has given the struggling Hindi film industry hope. The movie has performed remarkably well in multiplexes, and the mass-market theatres have also maintained their position with spot bookings. The three national chains have amassed roughly Rs. 18.50 crores from all of the versions, while the non-national chains have contributed an additional Rs. 18.50 crores, bringing the total opening revenue to nearly Rs. 37 crores.

The Hindi film industry’s greatest pandemic debut, Brahmastra, outperformed Sooryavanshi, which was released for Diwali in 2021 in terms of box office take. The Hindi version of the film has made about 32 crores or more of the total 37 crores, and the South version has made an additional 5 crores. The first day laid the groundwork for Brahmastra to reach 100 in three days and join the exclusive club of weekends earning $100 million or more.

Brahmastra is expected to have a successful weekend, but Monday will determine the movie’s fate. For a movie of this size, a strong Monday is essential. If Monday keeps up, it will profit from the free run till Vikram Vedha’s release.
