Boycott Liger is Trending now, What could be the reason?
After Vijay Deverakonda backed Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, the phrase “Boycott Liger” went viral on social media.
Liger, the Bollywood debut of actor Vijay Deverakonda, has been trending on social media as trolls criticize the film’s upcoming release.
Actor Vijay Deverakonda has been aggressively advertising his movie Liger in various locations in advance of its August 25 release. While the publicity around his Hindi debut has been sustained by the promotions, Boycott Liger has become a popular hashtag since early on Saturday morning. After Vijay supported actor Aamir Khan and his recently released film Laal Singh Chaddha, which had poor box office performance.
Twitter is trending with the hashtag #BoycottLiger five days before the movie’s premiere. People have given many justifications for the same. While some are upset that Vijay Deverakonda opposed Laal Singh Chaddha’s boycott, others think he has an arrogant attitude. The others have only trend boycott because the movie’s producer is Karan Johar. Recently, The actor’s “nearly n*de” poster also garnered a lot of attention.
Vijay is being the target of offensive memes and comments on social media. Not only Vijay but also the film’s leading actress Ananya Panday and producer Karan Johar are the targets of social media trollers. Look at the tweets below.
One twitter user wrote,” Ab toh Masti zyaada ho gaya. Overkonda Says, Jinhe picture dekhna chahte woh dekhenge, baaki TV mein dekho. Dude has got lot of attitude as if he does method acting.”
On the other side, Fans of the actor have stepped out to show their support for him as the boycott hashtag receives more and more tweets. They criticize trolls for picking on the “self-made” actor.
