Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Posts Great Numbers at the box office

With the eagerly anticipated debut of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the box office surged back to life. According to estimates from The Walt Disney Co. on Sunday, the Marvel sequel made $180 million in ticket sales from more than 4,396 theatres in the US and Canada, making it the second-highest opening of the year behind Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It earned an additional $150 million from 50 foreign markets, increasing its global haul to $330 million.

According to estimates from distributor Walt Disney Co. on Sunday, the Marvel Studios action film “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” made $330 million in ticket sales globally over its opening weekend and broke box office records in the United States and Canada.

Both audiences and exhibitors anxiously anticipated Wakanda Forever as they had experienced a poor period at the box office since the summer movie season had ended and there were fewer bigger-budget blockbusters in the works. The movie had a tremendous opening day, earning $84 million, including $28 million from Thursday previews, outpacing even the first movie.

According to Paul Dergarabedian, senior media analyst at Comscore, “some may have hoped for $200 million like the first picture, but this is solid.” The kind of film that cinemas truly need to draw crowds is this one.

Black Panther A follow-up to Black Panther, which was released in 2018, is Wakanda Forever. The new movie is focused on what happens after T’Challa, who was portrayed by the late Chadwick Boseman, dies. Letitia Wright and Lupita Nyong’o play key roles in Wakanda Forever. Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Dominique Thorne, and Michaela Coel are a few of the actors in the cast.
