Anirudh Ravichander’s Remuneration, Setting New Standards for Music Director!
Anirudh Ravichander, the leading music director in India, has set a new benchmark with his remuneration demands, significantly impacting the industry. His track record of delivering blockbuster hits has made him a sought-after talent in the Tamil film industry, with his recent Bollywood debut in Shah Rukh Khan’s “Jawan” further elevating his profile.
Despite his success, Anirudh’s high remuneration, ranging between Rs 10 crore and Rs 12 crore per film, has made him unaffordable for many production companies. He reportedly declines offers below Rs 8 crore, which has led to a significant shift in the pay scale for other renowned music directors.
Following Anirudh’s lead, AR Rahman and MM Keeravani have increased their fees, with Rahman set to receive a staggering Rs 10 crore for the upcoming film “RC16” starring Ram Charan and directed by Buchi Babu. Additionally, Devi Sri Prasad has also upped his asking price to Rs 8 crore after the success of “Pushpa 2.”
Anirudh’s impact on the industry is undeniable, as his remuneration demands have prompted a reevaluation of pay scales among music directors, setting a new standard for their compensation.
