A Kannada actress died After undergoing Plastic Surgery
Chethana Raj, a Kannada serial actor, died on Tuesday after undergoing cosmetic surgery at a private hospital in Bengaluru’s Rajajinagar.
Chethana’s family filed a lawsuit against the hospital for negligence in response to the incident. Chethana had reportedly undergone a ‘fat-free’ surgery on May 16 at Dr Shetty’s Hospital, according to a complaint filed by her parents at the Rajajinagar police station.
However, she soon developed breathing problems as a result of the surgery and was rushed to the Kaade Hospital in Manjunath Nagar.
However, by the time they arrived at the Kaade hospital, the doctors there had already declared her dead, owing to a cardiac arrest.
Surprisingly, Chetana’s father claimed he had no idea his daughter was having surgery until she was taken to the operating room.
“Though my daughter was admitted around 8.30 a.m. at Dr Shetty’s Hospital, we didn’t know about this,” he told media reporters. She had gone to the hospital for surgery with some of her friends. We only found out about it after she was taken to the operating room.”
According to Vinayak Patil, DCP of North Karnataka, this case of Unnatural Death Report (UDR) was filed under section 174 of the CrPC.
